Karl-Josef Laumann, MdL (Member of the State Parliament), chairman of the CDU parliametary group in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia

Professional drivers transport many articles that we need every day and in doing so they improve the quality of life of citizens, not only in North Rhine-Westphalia, but all over Germany and Europe.

This often takes place under unfavourable conditions. The job profile is characterised by outside influences. High responsibility, stress, unfavourable traffic conditions and other burdens can lead to various illnesses. In order to ensure their own safety and that of other road users, it is of decisive importance that professional drivers receive fast and uncomplicated medical care.

The DocStop initiative has taken an innovative route here that could become a country-spanning model for success. As the Labour and Health Minister of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, I can only support the idea and wish the employees of the DocStop initiative continued success with their voluntary work, and the "Knights of the Road" a clear road at all times and good health.
